Macromedia promotes Flash technology. Macromedia Inc is fanning the flames of its Flash graphics technology
for Web sites. The company has posted a beta upgrade to its Flash vector
animation tool, unveiled a new component for inserting data-driven graphics
into Flash templates, and announced plans to open the Flash file format
to the masses. Flash3 enables real-time shape morphing and creation of
animated buttons and menus.
Flash Generator will be available in beta before the second
half of the year. It allows designers to leave place holders in animations
for data-driven graphics. The company also released the .SWF binary file
format for Flash and plans to license the source code for its Flash player..
